Sometimes we suffer in silence. No one hears our cries, no one wipes our tears, but we still laugh.
Sometimes we suffer in silence. Long stares in the mirror while we magnify our imperfections. You reflect on that last insult that cut you deep; yet again, but we still laugh. We don’t laugh because it’s funny. We laugh because our hearts need to smile. Our souls need to feel emotion. Our mouths need to move… Who cares if you laugh so hard you fart. Who cares if no one knows why you’re laughing.
Sometimes we suffer in silence. Not because we want to suffer, but it pains us to speak up on how we feel in this world. Don’t turn your pain into wounds, instead put them into words.
Sometimes we suffer in silence. Yet, remember it’s only temporary. Your suffering no matter the magnitude will not stop you, only you can stop you.
So the next time you suffer in silence. You will have the chance to look back on how you overcame all your past suffering. I hope that you see the strength that I see in you. You’re not a sufferer, you’re a survivor!
Hold your head up, I too am a SURVIVOR.
